One of the biggest problems with being invited to a baby shower is coming up with some creative baby shower gift ideas. You want your gift to stand out from the crowd, but you also want it to be practical and something that the mother to be will use and really appreciate.
The fist thing you might want to do is find out what the parents want or need. If they are in the market for something in particular, then you might be able to get it for them and be assured that your gift will be useful. Also, see if they have registered at a shopping store or online – this is perfect because then you know you will be getting something they want!
When it comes to baby shower gift ideas, a lot of people want to present a creative gift. In recent times, one of the most popular types of creative gifts is the baby diaper cake. While this might sound a little distasteful it is actually quite beautiful and useful. What you do is layer diapers so that the look like a cake. Each tier is a row of diapers. Then you can weave in other gifts in between the diapers and the layers. It’s beautiful and useful too because every new parent needs plenty of diapers!
Another fun and practical gift is to take a baby bag and fill it with all kinds of baby related things. Bottles, outfits, bibs, diapers – whatever you can find. This can be fun to fill up and fun for the mother to be to open up.
Finally, one of the baby shower gift ideas that people rarely think of is to give something to the mother for her own use. Some special body lotion or a relaxing CD might be appropriate. If you want, you can even give her a voucher for babysitting!
